Terrence Johnson
Creator/Writer
If you have time, I’ll tell you a story about a great man named Terrence Demeiko Johnson. He was born in Memphis TN, the first born of three. He was very imaginative and creative at a young age (maybe because that’s all he had to entertain himself with while he was grounded- confined to his bedroom). His first introduction to comics was in Walgreens magazine section. He knew about comics from the cartoons on T.V. but didn’t read’em- but once he did he couldn’t get enough. He found the comics were way better than the cartoons. With no money, he couldn’t buy any, so he stood in the magazine aisle and read for as long as he could. That problem was taken care of when his cousin started bringing comics home from her job in big boxes. He was in Heaven. Once a week he would go to his cousin’s house and sift through hundreds of books and take his pick. After awhile he realized the comic books were getting old, and redundant. Old stories that he read before were being recycled, he didn’t like that and figured he could write a better story (and he could). With his brother, who could draw just like the artists who had drawn the comics, he decided to put their talents to use and come up with their own. More dedicated than his sibling, Terrence wrote and wrote, created and re-created characters, thus the DarkReign universe was created. Coming with characters and stories that will turn the comic book industry inside out.

The man, the myth, the legend…well… I’m not quite a legend, yet. I don’t even think that I’m a myth. I believe I’m a man but the test was inconclusive. But at the very least I am an individual. I march to the beat of a different drummer. And it just so happens that my drummer has Tourette‘s Syndrome.
It all started back in 1979. It was a cold February morning when I came screaming into this world covered in blood. Not my own and not even my mother’s. “Then who’s blood was it”? I’m glad you asked. It was the blood of my sibling. You see, in my mother’s womb, there was this struggle of epic proportions:
A fight for supremacy. A fight to the death. As mere fetuses, my sibling and I knew that there was room for only ONE Antonio D. Johnson in the world. One of had to die!
In the end I became victorious. So if you feel that I’m twice the man your favorite artist is, it’s because I’m really twins!!!!!

Well, here I am trying to figure out how to write a bio about my favorite person—me! You’d think it would be easy-and as much as I like me—it should just flow naturally and I should be talking your ear off by now…but I actually don’t have much to say. Either I’m incredibly boring (shallow) or I’m really modest (I think I like the latter—so that’s what I’m going to go with).
Ok, here’s my story…..
I grew up poor, on the streets and had no family. I had to fight for everything I got and I was one tough cookie—nah, I’m just kidding! I’m so sedity it’s not funny! Ask anyone, they’ll tell you! I dance on 1 and 3 while the rest of my culture is on 2 and 4! You want me to leave my house without my weave?? I don’t think so!!!
Some say that I think the world revolves around me…but I can’t help that I believe what my daddy always told me!
Seriously though, I am an avid reader and have loved books my whole life and I used to read Archie & the Gang and Betty & Veronica growing up, but I was reintroduced to comics just a few years ago and I came to see them in a very different light. It was during a time in my life when I needed someone to believe in and something to hold onto. Now, I’m not saying that I believe in comics and think that they are real (cause that’s just crazy), but what I am saying is that I developed an appreciation for the chance to get lost in the stories and a love for the art work.
Will you look at that? I had more to say than I thought.
I guess I’m not shallow or modest!! :D
Daphney Johnson
Research
Hi, my name is Daphney Johnson and I am probably the only sane and down to earth one of the group. I was born and raised in Memphis, TN and it seems as if I have been here forever! I escaped here and went to college at the University of Tennessee at Martin and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. While I was there, I met a man who loved comics so much he thought he was in one but the trade paperback he was in took him back to Memphis, so here I ended up again!
I took a job at the public library and while my official title is Librarian and I thought I’d be responsible for books-what I really became good at was finding things on the Internet. Realizing my research potential, DarkReignStudios scooped me up before an acronymic government organization did.

To begin, I didn’t want to do this bio thing. I can speak on a plethora of subjects, but me is not a preferred one of them. The big head (Antonio) said I had to tell about me, so let’s try…
I am native to Memphis, TN born and raised in Orange Mound (holla back)! I’m in my thirties and a happily divorced mother of three. My children are the motivating factor behind my drive to succeed which is why I’m excited about this opportunity to be a cornerstone of this wonderful thing that is about to transpire. I’m the networking guru of this clan. They are getting off easy as this is my day job as well (but they pay me, hint…hint).
I have been known to write a few poems and even fewer short stories, and I am waiting to see if my creative juices will flow for DarkReignStudios…but only time will tell.
I am also known for Essence and to those of you who have not been exposed to it….you will, because it is in my nature and that is what essence is all about. Essence is a very powerful thing and there are very few people who have this ability. (Matter fact, they tell me I’m the only one who has it!) Now I cannot tell you how to combat essence, nor can I tell you when you’ll see it coming. The only thing I can tell you is be afraid…be very afraid….cause when it hits you…game over.
Tre Medlock
Marketing
What’s up?! I’m Tre. I’m a simply guy. Not much to me. I’m born and raised in Memphis, TN. Westwood to be specific. I’m 28 and most people say that I have an old soul…which is true. I’m a truck driver and I ride bikes with the Wyld Boyz. Me and Tonio were really good friends and after a while of hanging out with them I found out that they were into this comic book thang and I wanted to be a part of it! I’m very goofy at times and hardly ever serious…unless I’m dealing with money….and then I don’t play when it comes to my benjamins. I’m not picky and I LOVE women! But I don’t like attitude or the drama.
I’m the marketing master behind the group and have a lot of great ideas and selling strategies. If you’re interested in advertising with us or feel that you can help us promote our name feel free to give me a call 'cause although I like to have a good time….I’m always about making money.
I just want to go on the record to say that when we are able to make a living doing this and I can quit my job…the first thing I’m going to do is buy EVERYBODY a shot of tequila!
